Will it be Rafael Nadal vs. Roger Federer in the US Open semifinals, for the first time in New York? or will Andrey Rublev and Juan Martin Del Potro spoil things and make their own memories? Steen: Rublev has made a special run and he will win a slam one day, but Nadal is Nadal and on this stage I don’t see the young gun measuring up quite yet. Rafa played great in the round of 16 and looks hungry for the Federer clash coming up. He won’t overlook how skilled this next gen star actually is. Nadal in 3

Ryan: Rublev has had an impressive showing, topping Goffin and Dimitrov in straights, and has a solid year on tour at his young age. He is now to face his boyhood idol and world number 1 Rafa Nadal. Rublev has prevailed in a crazy year for tennis, but Nadal has been one of the few consistently great players and will take the match. Nadal in 4

Jakub: Nadal looks a man on a mission at the 2017 US Open. He continues to play very good tennis, and Rublev will have to play his best tennis, and even that may not be enough for the win. Rublev has played some great tennis so far, and closing out Goffin in straight sets was impressive. However, Nadal is on another level. Nadal in 4

Brandon: Rublev has had a dream run, dispatching the likes of Dimitrov and Goffin both in straight sets, however he will face his toughest challenge yet against Nadal, a two-time US Open champion. Nadal’s experience will be too much for the youngster and will advance into the semi-finals for the first time in four years. Nadal in 4

Yesh: Rublev has the game to beat Nadal. He has a huge serve and groundstokes, and he can hang witht he Spaniard from the baseline. Nadal always struggles on this surface this late in the season recently. Eventually, the wear and tear gets to him. Rublev in 4

Steen: Del Potro plays Federer well and can probably find a way to will himself into this match but Federer is fit and Del Potro is not. Fatigue also plays a factor against the Argentine fan favorite. Federer remains the tournament favorite for a reason, and he just finished up a clean 4th round match. Federer in 4

Ryan: We next have an exciting rematch of the 2009 final here. Delpo somehow battled back incredibly down two sets to beat Thiem, but against Federer will lack the raucous crowd completely on his side willing him to victory. He will be physically and emotionally tired and will simply not have enough to beat a Federer who seems to have finally found his form. We will finally get the Fedal at the US Open that is long overdue. Federer in 3

Jakub: Federer has been very solid thus far. Despite the great comeback that Del Potro pulled off over Thiem, I do believe that he was somewhat limited in the first two sets, and I do have to pick a fit Federer over a questionable Del Potro. That said, I love this matchup, and Del Potro will give this match his all. Add some Argentinian fans in the crowd, and you have one great match. Federer in 3

Brandon: DelP otro may have pulled off the greatest comeback in US Open history against Thiem in the last round. Trailing 2 sets to 0, the Argentine was obviously struggling due to illness, before somehow flipping the switch and taking the match in a thrilling 5 set contest. Federer came through in much easier fashion, so Del Potro will have to pray that he is fully fit and ready to go for this massive clash. Del Potro in 5

Yesh: Del Potro played one of the most amazing matches you’ll ever see while ill on Monday. If he wins this tournament, this will go down in history next to Sampras’ vomit match. Unfortunately, Federer is in such good form and Del Potro will be too fatigued from his brutal five-setter. Federer in 3
